Service Description

Instructor: Sabine Schmitz (MMed TCM, China) Target Audience: TCM Practitioners, TCM Herbalists, and students above the 2nd year of training; Duration: 2 classes (5 hours total) Language: English Dates: July 10 & 24, 2024, from 5:30 pm - 8 pm (Lisbon Time) Location: Online class via Zoom Minimum number required of enrolled students: 20 Instructor: Sabine Schmitz (M. Med. TCM) is a German TCM practitioner, author and a graduate of the Zhèjiāng Chinese Medical University in Hángzhōu, China. One of very few Western students majoring in Chinese medical dermatology, she has developed unique expertise on the subject. She runs a successful TCM practice specializing in skin diseases, gynecological disorders, and infertility treatment in Cologne, Germany. She also authored the best-selling TCM handbook series on the most common skin diseases - the first handbook series dedicated specifically to TCM dermatology outside of China - and numerous articles on skin health and Chinese herbal medicine. Sabine is also the founder and owner of CHINAMED COSMETICS. Program: - Introduction to conventional Dermatology: Theoretical knowledge of the Western approach to rosacea. - TCM theory: Background information on the TCM perspective of the skin and pathogenic factors including their characteristics resp. effect on the skin, tongue and pulse diagnosis. - TCM syndrome differentiation: How to diagnose rosacea acc. to TCM by using examples of the most common TCM patterns seen in practice, this includes characteristics of the skin, accompanying symptoms, tongue and pulse diagnosis. - In depth explanations of the most common TCM syndromes from practice with many pictures (tongue and skin), plus the corresponding formulas and their modifications. - Practical knowledge about external applications such as pastes, washes or ointments for rosacea. - Advice on diet, lifestyle, skin care and patient communication for rosacea. There will also be a Q&A two months after this course for students to ask their questions or present clinical cases. The time and date will be scheduled in the course. Certification: At the end of the course, a training certificate will be issued with the number of hours spent, if the student attended at least 80% of the live classes. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy In accordance with the provisions of Article 17 of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, the customer has until the application deadline to resolve the contract without payment of compensation and without the need to indicate the reason. Global Branches reserves the right to cancel or change the dates of the courses and other events, whenever they do not have the minimum required participants or because of an instructor's impossibility (reasons of greater force). Whenever there is an event cancellation or a change in the event’s date, the trainee shall be entitled to receive the amount charged for the training in question or the credit to be discounted in training or content made available by Global Branches. In the impossibility of the trainee to be able to participate in the training, he will have to notify the Global Branches formally, until the start of the training. Cancellations received after the application deadline (7 days before the start of the course) do not entitle the trainee to any return or exchange. The course withdrawals do not entitle the trainee to any refund of the registration payment.
